Heritage window restoration and thermal performance upgrades as part of a public sector decarbonisation programme. The works were commissioned to improve the energy efficiency of the Town Hall while retaining its historic character and operational use.

What we did
- Restoration and repair of historic timber windows
- Repair, refurbishment and replacement of defective window components
- Installation of slim-profile insulated glazing units where required to enhance thermal performance
- Draught-proofing, easing, adjustment and overhaul of existing sash and casement windows
- Internal and external redecoration of restored timber joinery
- Coordination with the design team to balance improved thermal performance with the retention of historic character
- Works undertaken within a live civic building, maintaining its continued operation throughout
